~ Family

We are very lucky to have a big family
including lots of cousins for our children.
Mary has three sisters and a brother, and
Dave has one sister. Between all of our
siblings we have 10 nieces and nephews.
Jake loves playing with his cousins.

We spend Christmas in Sacramento every
year with Dave’s side of the family. Before
we leave on our Sacramento road trip each
year, we have “Robbersons’ Christmas” in
San Diego with Mary’s side of the family.
We open gifts, eat too much, play games
and have a really great time. Our families are
very excited about our plans for adoption
and having a new baby in the family.

~ Parenting

Jake is three years old and is a really happy child. We
believe it is because we are consistent with him, give
him lots of love and affection, but also realize that
boundaries are important.

We want our kids to know that we are always there for
them and know what they can count on – love, support
and understanding.

Education is also very important to us. For the
immediate future, there is a Spanish immersion
elementary school within walking distance of our home
where our children will go to school.
